ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Ben and Jerry's lovers can soon treat their dogs.

The Vermont-based ice cream company announced this week that it's getting into the pet food market.

Doggie desserts will go on sale in U.S. grocery and pet stores later this month.

The treats are made with a sunflower butter base.

Ben & Jerry’s joins Smucker's and General Mills in pivoting to pets.
